What's Our Story?

Been there, done that!

After 21 years in the consumer products industry, I made the decision to take off my corporate hat, and leverage the marketing knowledge I gained selling brands such as Gatorade, Bud Light and Campbell’s Soup.

I found an entrepreneurial spirit and passion I never knew existed working with small business owners, and running local community programs in Houston, Texas.
I am a proud graduate of Kingwood High School, and Texas Tech University.

I have been blessed to work one on one with leaders from Fortune 500 companies; Local businesses; Non-Profits and Start ups.

In 2017 our home flooded from Hurricane Harvey; we packed up; and moved our family and business to Horseshoe Bay, on Lake LBJ in the Texas Hill Country!  Being new to the area, I didn't have many contacts, so I decided to try something new!

April 2019 I opened The Market Place, in Cottonwood Shores, Texas.  I knew nothing about running an apparel store, or fashion but knew consumer behavior.  I studied it for years in the consumer products industry!  

Same behavior, different products!

I enjoyed watching The Market Place grow into THE place to shop for fun, resort apparel around the Lake LBJ area.  I credit our success to our customers.  I listened to what you are looking for, and worked hard to provide that.  

In 2024 we closed the doors to our store, to get back to our roots growing
